The Face of Nations

As I scroll through the photos of people I met this year I am once again overwhelmed by the beauty of our world and the work God is doing for his children everyday. Encountering new faces everyday is something we all do. Whether on your way to work, in your neighborhood, on your morning jog or in the local coffee shop you have the opportunity to meet new people. With traveling those you encounter have life stories so different from your own that each encounter with the faces of day to day life creates a new dimension within your worldview.

This is what I miss. I scroll through the photos of this past year on the World Race, trying to narrow down what I will share with you, and with every photo I unflag I feel as if I am robbing you of an epic piece of the tapestry God has pieced together in this world. I miss each of these people in a way. I miss their stories. I miss the random encounters that brought us together. I miss the new friendships formed and the journey of pouring into a life you may only know for a few days or even a few moments. I miss the moments that occurred beyond the photo.

As the photos upon this site give you a small glimpse into the lives of God's children of all nations I pray you see them not only as photos upon a webpage, but as a captured moment in the life of someone whose story, even in this exact moment, is being written.
